Chelante’ C. Mitchell is a licensed graduate social worker with specialized skills in identifying youth needs in an in-service educational setting, works as a School Social Worker and Site Supervisor for AppleTree Early Learning Public Charter School. She graduated from The University of Maryland in 2013 with a Masters of Social Work. Her focus was clinical health with a specialization in child, adolescent, and family health. She has experience in assessing a student’s social, emotional, and behavioral skills to identify their strengths and areas that needs development. She has served in multiple roles ranging from Family Service Coordinator, at a treatment foster care agency, to leading substance abuse groups for clients on probation. While working in treatment foster care, she was able to provide support and education to help young people achieve their goals. Along with her social work, she has provided leadership for projects involving grant writing, public speaking and other professional collaborations.
